The Atomic Backland 89 SL W is a superlight, all-around touring ski for women who seek uphill agility and endless downhill possibility. A result of a scientific life cycle assessment, Atomic has created a ski with a lower-impact design to reduce material-based CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021) without sacrificing an ounce of performance. The construction uses more wood, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls for a light, stronger, profile that thrives in any terrain. 

All-Terrain Profile changes the thickness curve, torsional stiffness, and flex pattern to create a highly versatile ski shape. A caruba and poplar UltraLight Woodcore combined with a stabilizing Carbon Backbone adds powerful downhill performance.
